On June 14th, over 15,000 people congregated at the steps of the Brooklyn Museum to advocate for Black trans lives. At a time when Black trans rights are gaining mainstream recognition after years of advocacy, artist and filmmaker Tourmaline discusses how her film 'Salacia' spotlights historical Black trans figures.
