Fleshing Out The Image: Pleasure and Refusal in Contemporary Aesthetics

This lecture series brings some of the foremost thinkers in Black Studies together to discuss visual and sonic experiences, through embodiment. Grounded in our senses and experiences of art and life, flesh registers both pain and possibility, along with violence and the dreams of freedom.
