How a Group of Women in This Small Alabama Town Perfected the Art of Quilting

The New York Time's Op-Docs curates short documentaries by independent filmmakers from around the world that focus on phenomenal stories through nonfiction filmmaking. In 2018, Maris Curran visited Gee's Bend, Alabama to learn about a group of master quilters from the small Southern town. Curran's short film illustrates the close bond between the Black women of Gee's Bend and how the quilters use their craft to honor their families, faith, and community.
